About

I work where art direction meets brand systems — turning ideas into work that holds a clear point of view, scales cleanly, and earns its place on the page.

Ten years in design. Six in the UK, across an SEO content team, a digital agency, a multi-brand parent group where I managed the design team, and a B2B agency running campaigns for technology clients. I move between art direction, identity, campaign and motion — equally at home on an agency team, inside an in-house marketing function, or running a freelance brief end to end. Born and trained in Caracas, based in Reading, working in English and Spanish.

03 Process
How I think
and decide.
01
Curiosity is the actual design tool.
Software changes every year. Trends change every quarter. The only thing that keeps a designer sharp across a decade is staying curious about everything adjacent to the work — how a business actually makes money, how a user actually scrolls, how a printer actually prints. I've learnt more from asking one more question than from any tutorial.
02
Every brief is a problem in disguise.
Most briefs describe the deliverable, not the problem. Before I start, I want to understand what would actually change if the work succeeded — for the business, for the team, for the person who approved it. Then I design against that, and the deliverable tends to take care of itself.
03
Stay current without chasing trends.
There's a new tool, a new AI feature, a new platform every week. Most of it won't last. My job isn't to use everything — it's to know what's worth using, what's worth ignoring, and what's worth waiting out. That filter is harder to build than any specific skill, and it's the one I work on most.
04
Leave the ego at the door.
Creative work that travels through a team — strategists, copywriters, other designers, developers, stakeholders — only works if nobody in the room is protecting their version of it. I've seen more projects break on ego than on bad ideas. The best art directors I've worked with are the ones who make everyone else's work better, and take credit last.
