Privacy and cookies.
What this site collects, why, and how to change your mind. Short version: analytics only run if you allow them, and the contact form is only used to reply.
Who is responsible
Wilder Bermudez, Reading, United Kingdom, is the data controller for this website. To get in touch, use the contact form.
The contact form
The form collects your name, email, company (optional), what your enquiry is about and your message, so I can reply. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, or steps before a contract if we end up working together.
Submissions are stored by Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., United States, under the UK–US data bridge) and forwarded to my Gmail inbox (Google). I delete enquiries within 12 months unless we work together.
Analytics, only with your consent
If you choose "Allow analytics", two tools load:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) counts visits and which pages and case studies are read. Cookies:
_gaand_ga_8FG1CYHJQ6, kept for up to 2 years. - Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd, Malta, EU storage) records anonymised clicks, scrolling and page structure. Text typed into forms is masked. Cookies:
_hjSessionUser_6726824(1 year) and_hjSession_6726824(30 minutes), plushj*keys in local and session storage.
If you choose "No thanks", or make no choice, neither tool loads and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage (wb_consent) for 12 months, so you aren't asked on every page.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
Embedded content
Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. Videos on the Motion and Vodafone pages are hosted on YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode). On the Motion page they load only when you press play. Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image server.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time through the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
